New guy here looking for some guidance

Howdy yall, new guy here I’m in northeastern Wyoming. I’ve shot ihmsa a little bit and mainly do long range pistol shoots but looking to get on the rifle side of things to. I’m going through the sight trying to find all the rules of what to build, gear to get and ranges to shoot at. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

NRA Silhouette rules including specifications for equipment are [URL="https://competitions.nra.org/media/9996/2025-silhouette_rifle_rulebook.pdf"]here[/URL]. Most club match directors won't care if your equipment isn't to spec for your first few matches. They'll be glad to have you out to the match and show you the ropes.

I don't know about silhouette clubs up there in Wyoming but they hold the state match at the National Guard range in Lander. [EMAIL="rjsebesta@yahoo.com"]Roger Sebesta[/EMAIL] is the contact for the state match and he can probably help you with information for other matches in the state.

FYI... This forum sees almost no activity. There's a little more on Steel Chickens (if you can get registered) and Rimfire Central. There's also some groups on Facebook if you're on there.
