Rifle Benchrest Silhouette Rules

I would like to protest Rule 1.6 prohibiting Spotters. I have been a Silhouette shooter since the early ‘90s, and that goes against the family friendly, social aspect of the sport.

I think your concern has merit. I like the “WHY” rule. All other flavors of our sport allow a spotter. WHY are they not allowed? If you run the answers or lack of answers through your mind do you reach a good reason for this event to be different?

I tried bench rest silhouette on a very windy day. It is not easy. It is a solid test of rifle / ammo accuracy and ones ( or ones spotter) ability to read conditions. It was fun.
