N.A.S.S.A. 10 Meter Monthly Winter internet “Postal” Matches
October 2023-March 2024
Program by Matt Judd NASSA South East Regional Director.
Mission Goals:
Ranges:Air Rifle indoors 10 meters.
Targets: NASSA 10M Air Target (see attached target post reply below)
Contains 40 properly scaled animals.
Best if printed on heavy card stock.
Scoring: 40 shots
If the shot’s outer edge breaks the line of target then the shot is to be scored as a hit.
If there is a visible break between the shot and the target the target is to be scored as miss.
Each shooter would submit 1 score per month to: David@nassasilhouette.org
We would also suggest hosting regular 10M matches.
Competitors could “win” twice a month. Once at your local in person match and once via the NASSA “Postal”.
Score Keeping
Results will be posted around the beginning of each month on the NASSA Facebook group and NASSA forum.

Best format is a simple score card Photo.
Include Who, What, Where , When (month) and your scores for each animal and totals.
Target Stands
Can be bought or made
Safety should be emphasized over cost savings.
Target stands should be placed roughly table top height for safety and ease of target acquisition (between 28-30 inches)

Rules
Shot standing indoors at 10M or 32.8 feet.
Time limit same as current NRA rules—2 minutes 30 seconds for each 5 shot string of fire with a 15 second ready period preceding each string.
Range commands should also be the same as current NRA rules.

Classifications
I would suggest beginning with current NRA Indoor Air Rifle Silhouette classifications.
Target—40 shot course
Master— 32-40
AAA—26-31
AA—20-25
A—13-19
B—0-12
Open—40 shot course
Master—34-40
AAA—28-33
AA—21-27
A—15-20
B—0-14
Sporter—40 shot course
Master—29-40
AAA—23-28
AA—17-22
A—11-16
B—0-10
But note that these may need to be adjusted as scores reflect higher or lower gains by shooters.
Example—If high end master class scores (32+ for Target, 34+ for Open, 29+ for Sporter) seem easily attainable due the shorter distance then maybe classifications will need to adjusted at a later time.
Guns
Current NRA Air Rifle Silhouette rules would apply to all guns.
This is a great place for those who do not have high end scopes or guns to come and actually compete well against others.
Iron sights work just fine at this distance.
Target, Sport or Open Rifles. .177 cal.
Please check that they are No greater than 600FPS. Just a safety measure.
Save the super FAST equipment for outdoor Silhouette.

We are here for fun and to work on our skills.
Q: What constitutes a “Match”?
A: Any group of more than One shooter getting together to shoot per the rules above.
Q: Can I run a basement or garage match.
A: Yes, follow the basic rules. Keep it safe. Try to get new people to join you.
NASSA Regional Directors:
This is an opportunity to organize and network with your local clubs and shooters.
Let's see how many groups in each region we can get shooting.
I will be organizing the results by NASSA Regions. I expect there will be some bragging rights.
