Yesterday was piddling in the gun room day… actually did clean a couple of my Redfields that were dirty. This is a Marble-Goss that goes on a Winchester 52… Took pictures of it.
There is a bunch of little springs and detent balls. If you don’t clean your sights this thoroughly you should at least pull them off and hose them out with a light penetrating oil that also lubricates… These will rust, bind and or fail.
